My design practice has always focused on big concepts. I am determined to give life to complex subjects in inventive or nuanced ways, whether raising awareness about difficult social topics or exploring complex ideas about consumers through packaging. I aim to make simple but effective solutions that capture attention. Boldness is the word I have come to honor most in my designs, not simply the typography or color choice but also embracing creative risks. Whenever I have the opportunity for a challenge in my design, like taking on a complicated topic or engaging with subjects about which I know little, I can produce more compelling projects than if I had chosen the easier path. This core value is applied across my work: in brand identities, packaging, and environmental design. No matter how great the ask is, I always search for ways to complement and stretch grandiose ideas into even bolder designs and systems.
